Meta data deletion

Click Fortify connects to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad accounts to detect click fraud and filter conversion events. This page explains how to disconnect Meta from Click Fortify and how to have the data we received from Meta deleted.

What we store when you connect Meta

When you connect a Meta ad account to Click Fortify, we store the following:

  • An encrypted Meta access token for the connection, and an encrypted System User token if you upgraded to one.
  • Your ad account id, name, currency and timezone, and the pixel id you selected.
  • The structure of your campaigns, ad sets and ads (ids, names, placement settings) that we sync to attribute clicks.
  • A log of conversion events we processed. Each entry contains only the event id, outcome, fraud score and reasons. It expires automatically after 90 days.
  • Hashed emails or phone numbers inside conversion events are forwarded to Meta and are not stored by us.

Disconnect Meta yourself

  1. Sign in to app.clickfortify.com.
  2. Open Space Settings.
  3. Under Connections, find Meta Business and click Configure.
  4. Click Delete.

This immediately deletes the stored Meta access token and the linked ad account records. Click Fortify can no longer access your Meta assets.

Note: removing a single ad account from Space Settings → PPC Accounts → Configure → Remove Account stops all processing for that account. It keeps an archived record until you request deletion as described below.

Request deletion of everything we received from Meta

To have all Meta-derived data for your space deleted:

  • Email app@clickfortify.com from the address on your Click Fortify account. Use the subject "Meta data deletion" and include your space name.
  • We confirm within 5 business days and delete all Meta-derived data for that space within 30 days. This covers the archived ad account records, synced campaign structure, pixel and token records, conversion logs and exclusion history.
  • We keep only what the law requires for invoices and security logs.
  • You can also remove the app from your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → ClickFortify → Remove). Doing so revokes our access at Meta, and we then delete the data on the same schedule.
